Boys Brigade

Our Boys Brigade meets every Tuesday evening and is divided into three different age groups.

Anchor Boys (NOW FINISHED UNTIL SEPTEMBER)

Anchor boys meet every Tuesday Night from 6.30 to 7.30. It is a fun, safe environment for the boys to learn about God and His word, through song, craft and stories. The boys have some favourite choruses that we usually start off with on a Tuesday evening, followed by a bible story and a short quiz. The boys love having this opportunity to ask questions too, exploring their faith and getting to know the stories of the Bible.

We love doing craft at Anchor boys, making something the boys can take home and proudly display on the fridge, or making tasty treats which are probably eaten before they even make it home!

Games are a great way for the boys to let off some steam and develop new friendships, and some healthy competition! We let the boys choose what games we play each week, ensuring everyone gets to do something they enjoy. We do obstacle courses, play football and duck-duck-goose, and sometimes even have a game of Pictionary, letting the boys show off their creative side too!

We also throw some great parties, with snacks and movies, and sometimes even have special guest visitors who bring furry or feathered friends!

Everything the boys do on Tuesday evenings goes towards their badge work, and they also have the opportunity to win shields and trophies at our annual parents evening. Nothing makes us prouder than seeing them showing off their hard-earned and well-deserved prizes!

Please get in touch if you would like to learn more about what we do at Anchor boys, we would love to hear from you!

Junior Section (NOW FINISHED UNTIL SEPTEMBER)

For boys in P5 to P7. Meeting every Tuesday night from 7.00 until 8.30. On a typical evening the boys create crafts, learn scripture topics, badge class, games and not forgetting tuck shop! We also enjoy many different guests during the year

Company Section (NOW FINISHED UNTIL SEPTEMBER)

Our Company Section currently has 21 members, who are very faithful supporters of everything we do - with many of our boys regularly attaining 100% attendance.

After fall-in and inspection each week, we start our evening with Bible Class, which is central to all that we do, before moving into a programme of badge work (Discover Programme) and games.

We are constantly working to improve our programme and camp, which made a very welcome return in February 2008, is now the high point of our session each year.
